About Me

Hi there! My name is Lauren Gill, and I am an aspiring teacher with a degree in Early Childhood K-4 and Special Education K-12. I had the pleasure of graduating from Seton Hill University and had the opportunity to student teach through Yough School District.  One thing that sets me apart is my creativity. I love finding new and innovative ways to engage my students and help them reach their full potential. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me reading a good book or trying out new painting techniques.

Teaching Philosophy

Curious George has had a significant influence on my teaching philosophy. Like George, I believe that every child has a natural sense of curiosity that should be nurtured and encouraged. As an educator, I strive to create an inclusive environment where every student feels comfortable to explore and learn at their own pace. I aim to make my lessons engaging and relevant to real-world situations, just like George’s exciting and sometimes mischievous adventures. In the same way that George learns from his mistakes, I encourage my students to take risks, ask questions, and think critically to develop their problem-solving skills. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire my students to become lifelong learners, just like George’s insatiable curiosity drives him to learn and discover new things every day.
